AKIKO AOKI
Akiko Aoki graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design in 2009 before mastering her vision at Central Saint Martins in London.
After assisting at Mikio Sakabe, she unveiled her womenswear label AKIKOAOKI in 2014, debuting at Tokyo Fashion Week S/S 2015.
Her radical silhouettes—sculpted by reconstructing the female form—and textural experimentation earned her an LVMH Prize shortlist nod in 2018 and the Tokyo Fashion Award in 2023, as she continues redefining femininity through artful presentation and tactile innovation.
