Fumie Tanaka, a graduate of Osaka Mode Gakuen, began her career at WORLD before moving to Sazaby League to help launch AndA, then honed her design skills at United Arrows and JUN.

In 2016, she debuted her label THE Dallas at Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo (AW 2018, 2019), and in 2020SS rebranded to FUMIE TANAKA, known for its natural sensibility, standout small leather goods, and playful cross-industry collaborations.

Her trajectory was cemented with the 2020 Tokyo Fashion Award and the 40th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix Newcomer & Shiseido Encouragement Prizes in 2022, highlighting her as a rising force in Japanese womenswear.
